Class 6 - Summer 2025 - Roll Up! Roll Up!
PGL Days 2 and 3
Class 6 are continuing to have an incredible time at PGL!
They’ve been busy learning new survival skills in the woods, taking on a sensory trail, building more rafts, and trying their hand at archery and fencing. Last night, the group enjoyed a giant game of Cluedo to solve the mystery of who stole Lord Barton's crown! This evening, the children will have the choice of a swim or taking part in some exciting wide games.
Meal times have been a real highlight too — the children have enjoyed a wide variety of delicious food, including spaghetti bolognese, Katsu curry, mac and cheese, chilli and rice, jacket potatoes, ratatouille, potato wedges, bacon, sausages, beans, salad, and so much more!

Y6 Leavers service - Gloucester Cathedral
On Tuesday, 10th June, our Year 6 pupils visited Gloucester Cathedral for a special leavers' service celebrating Church schools across Gloucestershire. They represented our school admirably and thoroughly enjoyed being part of the extended church school community. The students participated in the service with great enthusiasm—singing along wholeheartedly and proudly showcasing our school banner. A particular highlight was the opportunity to perform with Jess from I Sing Pop.

Copsegrove Farm
Class 6 had a fantastic trip to Copsegrove Farm on Friday 16th May. We were lucky to have beautiful weather for our walk to the farm, which we thoroughly enjoyed as we took in the stunning views along the way.
Once we arrived, the children toasted marshmallows over the fire and turned them into delicious s’mores. They then had time to build dens in the woods, which sparked lots of creativity and teamwork.
After that, the children were split into groups and rotated through a variety of fun activities: making clay faces on trees (based on the teachers—can you guess who’s who?), taking part in the tennis ball run challenge, and preparing chocolate wonder wraps.
To top off the day, the infamous Copsegrove Monsoon made an appearance, and the children were thoroughly soaked in a surprise water drenching! Finally, we set off for the long walk home, still smiling and enjoying the sunshine.

Cricket
Class 6 have been enjoying a series of cricket lessons with Gloucestershire Cricket. They have been learning to play small-sided games, developing their bowling techniques, and improving their accuracy with the bat. We’ve been fortunate to have fantastic weather during our sessions, making the experience even more enjoyable.

We’ll be sharing regular posts to keep you updated with what we’ve been working on, along with plenty of photos and examples of the children’s fantastic work.
