ASSEMBLIES AND WORSHIP

As a Church of England (Aided) school serving the local community we are conscious of the need to develop a realistic spirituality.

We have a daily Act of Worship which seeks to do this, and which reflects the religious traditions of our country, which are mainly Christian.

Parents have the right to withdraw their children from all or part of the religious education and collective worship provided and should discuss alternative provision with the Headteacher.

Assemblies vary from class assemblies, worship in song and our sharing assembly on Friday.   Parents are welcome to join us on Thursdays and Fridays, and at the Harvest, Carol, Easter and the Leavers Services.

We also have visits to our Parish Churches of St Michael and St Augustine.    There is a regular service each month in the school at 10.00 am (usually 1st Sunday of the month) to which all parents and their families are welcome.
