Neil Carmichael, our local MP, kindly selected our school to receive a presentation from Google all about online safety. On Friday 20th January, Key Stage 2 children filed into the hall, and to their surprise, were given a giant foam hand! There followed an exciting performance teaching the children all about how to be safe when using the internet.
The children used their foam hands to vote ‘true’ or ‘false’ in response to questions asked by the Google team. They learned about how to be an Internet Legend by being safe and epic online!
- 1. Think before you share.
- 2. Protect your stuff.
- 3. Check it’s for real.
- 4. Respect each other.
These are important lessons for all children to help them use the internet safely.
We would like to say a big thank you to Neil Carmichael for selecting our school for this exciting opportunity, and to the Google team for a fantastic educational experience.
