Week 2

I hope you have all had a good week and have managed to keep yourselves entertained. I have been reading with my dog Teasel this week. We’ve been reading “The Explorer” by Katherine Rundell. I can recommend it and Teasel seems to be enjoying listening to it. See attached photos!

Here is a link to Google drive which is where you can find all the answers to the lovely maths and reading comprehensions you have been doing. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1atwY5eILNrHzZrw1_Ii9giWC3I2hw1yN?usp=sharing

You can check them yourselves. Your parents may need to download the app if they haven’t already got it, but it is free to do so.

I will be using Google drive to send work to you after Easter so this is a chance for your parents to check if the link works.

Over the Easter holidays try to read as much as possible (at least 10 minutes a day) Remember to record it in your reading record book. Also try and go on Times Tables Rock Stars- you all have log ins. I know some of you have already- well done. I can see who has been on!

Try to get out in the fresh air when you can even if its running marathons in your back garden. Try to play a musical instrument, even if it’s the saucepans for the NHS. There are loads of fabulous videos on You Tube – My personal favourite for Young voices fans- Young Voices at home https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFTl8WEjeyzLq8NbSzUVFqWabGiEP3YuP

I have been into school a few times this week looking after some of the children whose parents are working really hard to keep our country functioning. We made a fabulous obstacle course in the hall yesterday with hoops, bean bags, benches, mats and scooters! We also cooked some cookies on Tuesday and planted potatoes. Maybe you could have a go at some of these things.

Anyway I will be in touch towards the end of the holidays with instructions for your next pieces of work. Try and enjoy your Easter holidays and don’t eat too much chocolate! What am I saying? Eat loads- it’s Easter!

One last thing if you have been doing some of the maths on the White Rose Hub home learning website can I ask you not to do any more as we will be using this as the basis of our maths after Easter. Thankyou

Stay well

Love Mrs Baldwin and Teasel x
