Year 5 and 6 had a fantastic trip to @Bristol to kick start the new theme of “I’ve got you under my skin.” We had a brilliant workshop where we learnt about keeping healthy. We had a go at making our own toothpaste and learnt how the digestive system worked.
We were able to have a go at the interactive exhibits in the main halls, our favourites were the “active zone,” the mothers womb, learning about the brain, the parachutes and water and the animations upstairs.
After lunch we had a science show where we did the “One calorie challenge,” saw how big a human lung is, pumped blood around the body, saw inside a cows heart and lungs and witnessed explosions with icing sugar!
We had a fantastic day and learnt lots of interesting facts about the human body.
